Flying to Croatia

The closest airport to island Hvar is Split (SPU). Flying commercially from outside of Europe will require at least one stop to get to Croatia. Use your airline of choice. Google Flights is a great tool for planning.
If you plan on sightseeing the Croatian coast before or after the reception other coastal airports include: Dubrovnik (DBV), Zadar (ZAD), Pula (PUY), and Rijeka (RJK).

Getting to Hvar

We kindly ask all attendees to consider arriving to Hvar the day before the reception or to keep a careful eye on the weather forecast. In the unlikely case of strong winds, many regular boat lines get cancelled for safety reasons, so plan ahead. Arriving early also gives us more time to hang out! :)
From the coast, a ferry or a catamaran can take you to Hvar. Quickest routes from the shore start in the Split port, but other starting points are available as well. A few bigger operators are: Jadrolinija (incl. ferries for motor vehicles), Krilo and TPLine. Many small operators of chartered routes are available too — those can be found on Google, Tripadvisor & similar, or in-person in tourist hotspots. Due to high demand, buy your boat tickets online at least a few days in advance, to ensure finding the most convenient option for you.
